A single image can ‘speak a thousand words’. This is especially true of our images, as there are numerous ‘layers’ through which one can read them. To help you gain an understanding of the content of our images (as opposed to factual data such as artists, or production techniques) we have devised a system of ‘keywords’ which reflect the actual content in our images.
We hope that the keywords will also allow you to navigate our database when visiting in person, as well as assist in refining research requests sent online (since we are currently unable to put our entire database online).
